Director of Change Management

Location: Framingham, MA


As Director of Change Management you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing the strategic transformation of an iconic brand, further positioning this industry leader for breakthrough innovation and sustained, profitable growth. Working with a team of people you’ll love, you will be subject matter expert on Change Management. You will drive strategies to ensure that strategic business transformation initiatives are delivered on time, with desired financial impact. You will also identify and deliver relevant Change Management best practices and tools, in coordination with the Chief Transformation Officer, to enable successful and sustainable long-term transformation.

In the immediate term, this role will lead development of holistic change management strategies, including stakeholder impact assessment and management.  It will also facilitate the development and execution of supporting plans.  Additionally, the goal of this role will be to create a Change Management capability and approach that can be leveraged in future change efforts.

  • Own enterprise-wide change management strategy and approach (what is change management, what tools do we use, who does what) in partnership with the Transformation Management Office (TMO)
  • Work with business leaders to ensure that key business transformation initiatives are supported with sound change management work plans, comprehensive of all change management levers, including process re-wiring, upskilling/training, communications, tools/data/reporting, compensation/incentives, org structure evolution/changes. Ensure timely and successful execution of such change management plans.
  • Work closely with the TMO to analyze potential stakeholder impacts of proposed change initiatives, highlight interdependencies, and develop mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Coach leaders and business focal points on their change narratives and strategies, to enable those leaders and focal points to effectively role model desired changes. Builds change capabilities of other leaders
  • Liase with HR and Corporate Communication teams, as needed, to ensure that internal and external ( customer) communication strategies and execution ( deisgn, development, delivery, management) align with Change Management objectives, strategies and plans
  • Synthesize input and provide Senior Leadership Team and business focal points for change initiatives with updates on change management progress. Make recommendations regarding change management plans as needed.
  • Develop change readiness surveys for employees and other readiness / impact assessments as needed
  • Partner with HR to start and maintain a network of change champions

What you bring to the table:

  • Strategic thinking and keen problem-solving ability to identify overall strategy and game plan potential stakeholder impacts
  • Excellent communication, including active listening, motivation, facilitation, persuasion, and presentation skills
  • Sufficient credibility and authority to work with senior leaders across broader organization
  • Willingness to promote new ideas, including recommendations to improve quality of change plans
  • Ability to coach and train senior audiences in change management tools and techniques
  • Strong understanding of transformation strategy and priorities, key customer needs
  • Project management and data literacy to support the tracking of key change initiatives

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree required and MBA preferred.
  • Change Management Certification and or Lean Six Sigma certified
  • 4-6 years’ experience at large company or consulting firm managing supporting change in a transformational environment
  • Support and manage large projects and work streams across multiple functions
  • Ability to influence and drive initiatives to support large enterprise-wide programs and processes to support strategic transformational initiatives
  • Strong executive presence and ability to work with senior leaders
  • Strong process mindset
